The 46th Nakayama Festival was a great success, although some programs were cancelled due to rain in the morning.
*The 46th Nakayama Festival is supported by Higashimatsuyama City as well as many companies and organizations.
- Recalling the concept of "Children's Hometown Building" from the time when the Nakayama Festival began, we would like to create a place of "memory" for children living in the area.
- In addition, due to the declining birthrate and aging population, our community association had been unable to be as active as in the past for several years. With the background of many people "straining" to maintain the activities of the community association, many members were concerned that the limits would eventually be reached.
- This, combined with the refraining from going out and socializing due to the new coronavirus, has put a yellow light on the maintenance of the foundation of mutual aid, which is based on horizontal ties, and is one of the reasons for the existence of neighborhood associations.
- In the same vein, with the new coronavirus countermeasures and financial pressure factors due to the declining birthrate, aging population, and dispersion of urban functions, we cannot expect too much from "public assistance," and we felt that rebuilding the foundation of "mutual assistance" here is important for the future lives of the local government members.
- Therefore, the 46th Nakayama Festival project was launched with the idea of creating a place for exchange in a new form, without being bound by old precedents (style).

Hello, everyone! We are Shirasaka Taiko!
Shirasaka Taiko was established in 1979. Later, we began playing kumidaiko and Chichibu yatai-bayashi, and have been performing at local festivals and events for nearly 40 years.
Our motto is "Everyone has funโช".
We practice daily to make taiko fun to watch, fun to listen to, and fun to play.

Organization
Higashimatsuyama Taiko was founded in 1981 in Higashimatsuyama City. The Musashi-ryu style was named after Miyamoto Musashi, a famous swordsman of long ago, and the way he used to beat the taiko with a bachi is a magnificent two-fisted style, and we are named after him.
We are committed to the preservation and promotion of taiko as a local performing art, and through the sound of taiko, we continue our activities to contribute to the prosperity of festivals in local communities and the healthy upbringing of young people.

Sponsorship Requests
I hope you are all doing well in this hot and humid weather.
Now, the "Nakayama Festival" has been widely established by our members as a summer tradition in the Higashidaira Nakayama Complex since the Showa Period.
In the past two years, we have had to postpone the event due to the spread of the new coronavirus infection, but from this year, we would like to create a place for bonding among the community members in a new way that is not bound by conventional practice.
This year's Nakayama Festival is "building a hometown for our children and grandchildren. Let's create a place for exchange and a circle of mutual help that is not bound by precedent but is in line with the times." The plan is being carried out with the participation and cooperation of a wide range of people, from planning and management to financial support.
Through this festival, we hope to increase the sense of solidarity and attachment to our hometown among the people who live together in the Dongpyeong Nakayama Complex and its neighborhood. This year, we are planning to hold the festival for the 46th time so that everyone from children to the elderly can enjoy the festival and experience firsthand the heart-to-heart communication and vitality of Nakayama.
We sincerely hope that you will support the purpose of the festival and give us your warm sponsorship.
Yours Sincerely
Shinobu Obata, Chairman of the 46th Nakayama Festival Executive Committee
