Concept
Building a hometown for our children and grandchildren
And let's create spaces for interaction and circles of mutual support that meet the needs of our times.
- Recalling the original concept of the Nakayama Festival, "Creating a Hometown for Children," we wish to establish a place that serves as a foundation for the "memories" of children living within the district.
- In addition, due to the declining birthrate and aging population, our community association has been unable to be as active as in the past. While some members enjoy participating in our activities and find them meaningful, there is a tendency that the number of members who are straining to maintain the activities of the community association and who are concerned that they will eventually reach their limits has been increasing every year.
- This, combined with the refraining from going out and socializing due to the new coronavirus, has put a yellow light on the maintenance of the foundation of mutual aid, which is based on horizontal ties, and is one of the reasons for the existence of neighborhood associations.
- In the same vein, with the new coronavirus countermeasures and financial pressure factors due to the declining birthrate, aging population, and dispersion of urban functions, we cannot expect too much from "public assistance," and we felt that rebuilding the foundation of "mutual assistance" here is important for the future lives of the local government members.
- Therefore, with the idea of creating new opportunities for interaction without being bound by old precedents (styles), we have been holding the event with completely renewed content since 2023.
- This year, we intend to carry on that tradition and strive to make it an even better place.

- Prohibition of disruptive behavior observance of good manners
- Please refrain from coming extremely early or engaging in disruptive behavior such as taking up space, rearranging lines, or interrupting. Cheating behaviors, such as pretending to talk to someone you know and then just slipping straight into the line, are common in these cases, but please do not do this as it will ruin the fun festival atmosphere.
- Since the number of staff is small and there is a possibility that the line may be uncontrollable, everyone's moderation, cooperation, and spirit of giving and taking over are required. Please behave with good manners and have a good time.

Hello, everyone! We are Shirasaka Taiko!
Shirasaka Taiko was established in 1979. The group was founded in 1979 when volunteers from the Shirasaka neighborhood association taught the children to play the Bon Odori dance "Yagura Daiko" during a summer festival held by the community association, so that the children would have a memorable experience. Later, we began playing kumidaiko and Chichibu yatai-bayashi, and have been performing at local festivals and events for nearly 40 years.
Our motto is "Everyone has fun♪".
We practice daily to make taiko fun to watch, fun to listen to, and fun to play.
The songs we will be performing will be Shirasaka-gumi Taiko, Chichibu Yatai-bayashi, and Ko-yu (tentative). Thank you for your cooperation!
We are looking for new members, so please contact us if you are interested!

Sponsorship Requests
I hope you are all doing well in this hot and humid weather.
Now, the "Nakayama Festival" has been widely established by our members as a summer tradition in the Higashidaira Nakayama Complex since the Showa Period.
There was a time when we had to cancel the event due to the spread of the new coronavirus infection, but since then, we would like to create a place for bonding among community members in a new format that is not bound by conventional practice.
As in previous years, the Nakayama Festival is " building a hometown for our children and grandchildren. And let's create a place for exchange and a circle of mutual help that is not bound by precedent but is in line with the times." is the theme of , and plans are underway with the participation and cooperation of a wide range of people, from planning and management to financial support.
Through this festival, we hope to strengthen the sense of community and deepen the affection for our hometown among those living together in the Higashidaira Nakayama Housing Complex and its surrounding areas. This year, as we prepare for the 48th festival, we are planning events that everyone—from children to the elderly—can enjoy, fostering heartfelt connections and allowing participants to experience the vitality of Nakayama firsthand.
