Establishment of the 48th Nakayama Festival Executive Committee and recruitment of members.

As resolved at the AGM, preparations for the 48th Nakayama Festival will start on the assumption that it will be held.
As in previous years, we are looking for people of any age, gender, or position who are willing to participate in this year's Nakayama Festival from the planning stage to the discussion stage.

Specific plans will be discussed by members once the Executive Committee is established, but below is a list of current ideas for reference. If you are interested in joining the Executive Committee, please see the list below.

You can check out last year's festival here.

Outline of the 48th Nakayama Festival

The following information is only for reference to get an idea of what to expect when recruiting for the Executive Committee, and is not definitive.

(1) Main Concepts and Planning Background

Let's create a place for exchange and a circle of mutual aid that is in tune with the times, without being bound by precedent.

  • Due to the declining birthrate and aging population, our community association has been unable to be as active as in the past. While some members enjoy participating in our activities and find them meaningful, there is a tendency that the number of members who are straining to maintain the activities of the community association and are concerned that they will eventually reach their limits is increasing every year.
  • This, combined with the refraining from going out and socializing due to the new coronavirus, has put a yellow light on the maintenance of the foundation of mutual aid, which is based on horizontal ties, and is one of the reasons for the existence of neighborhood associations.
  • In the same vein, with the new coronavirus countermeasures and financial pressure factors due to the declining birthrate, aging population, and dispersion of urban functions, we cannot expect too much from "public assistance," and we felt that rebuilding the foundation of "mutual assistance" here is important for the future lives of the local government members.
  • Therefore, the 46th Nakayama Festival was held in 2023 with the idea of creating a place for exchange in a new form, without being bound by old precedents (style).
  • Since then, we have been planning to follow this concept and create an even better place!
